Clic Sargent Dance-a-Thon Friday 17th November

Your child will be taking part in the school’s annual Dance-a-Thon. This year, we will be dancing to disco classics!

Your child will dance for a set amount of time with the rest of their year group. In total, the school will dance for 2 school days to raise money for Clic Sargent, a charity very close to our hearts.

Due to a high interest from parents, we would like to invite parents to join in with their child’s dance-a-thon session.  To facilitate this, we will complete the dance-a-thon across two dates: Thursday 16th and Friday 17th November.  Your child will dress in non-uniform on the day they complete the dance-a-thon only.

The timings are as follows and logistics for the day will be sent closer to the date.  If you have any questions, please speak to the school office or Mrs Pearce.

Thursday 16th November

Friday 17th November

All children will be asked to contribute 50p on their dance-a-thon day – this will be the school’s contribution to Children in Need. As the theme for this year’s Children in Need is ‘Spotacular’, the fancy dress theme will be ‘dress spotty’.

We have raised over £25,000 for Clic Sargent and would like this year to add even more to this total. Any sponsorships or donations are truly appreciated. There are several prizes and treats available for best effort, best dressed and for outstanding contributions to the day!

Updates on the event will be posted on our Facebook page and school website.  Please find a copy of the sponsor form attached below – every child will be given a copy too.

Sponsor money will be collected on our online system, as we did last year.  If you need any help with this, please do not hesitate to come in and speak to a member of our office staff.  The 50p contribution to Children In Need will collected in class on the day of the dance-a-thon and will not be completed online.

Thank you and KEEP DANCING!!!
