Parents will need to drop off and collect children at the correct entrances for each child (drop off and collection points will be shared with parents in the induction information which is sent out in July, ready for the following academic year). There will be no access through the school from the Old Park Playground to the Quad playground at collection. This is to avoid congestion at entrances which prevents the safe dismissal of children. Children should not be moving through school to other classes (siblings classrooms) for collection.
Start and finish times have been staggered to allow for transition time for parents to move around the site and to support in easing traffic congestion in the surrounding roads. Staggered timings forced by Covid 19 safety measures have demonstrated that if parents arrive close to their allocated time slots for drop off and collection then congestion in the area, and therefore safety, is much improved. It is still requested that if possible, parents walk to and from school or park further from school and walk part of the journey.
