Homework

We want homework to be engaging for both pupils and families. Over the course of each term, children in will be able to select from a variety of different homework activities specific to their year group which can be completed at their own pace. Some activities may be linked to work within school and some may be linked to celebrating and sharing some of the already wonderful things that our children do outside of school.

We encourage children to present their homework in a variety of ways and we have seen some fantastic examples so far this year. Children have chosen to create posters and booklets, models, videos, presentations and even bring in home cooking.

As this is a new system, we will be reviewing its implementation soon. If you have any thoughts and opinions on our new homework system, please let your child’s class teacher know. We will also be collecting views via a questionnaire soon.
